Cold and Sunny

Yes, its 11 degrees and I am sweeting like a pig!

There she is, Devils Peak. You can get views of this peak from about 300 degrees around. The avi danger is high near it, so the resort doesnt groom track out there much...but you can see it from just about everywhere!

The last two days of skiing have been great. Really cold, like starting out at 11 degrees and super sunny. I love it when the snow is so cold that is freezes to the trees. Typically when its sunny out the snow comes off quickly. The snow on the surface must have been super cold, because the crystals where standing straight up like razor blades. I think that is called surface hoars conditions, slow skiing unless you pick the right ski.

Hi Chris,
Happy new year to you.
Fabulous pictures you have posted.
I wouldn't mind joining you on skis.
Hope the conditions stay good, so you can get many miles of cross country skiing, as I presume you are doing.
Best regards
Jon
